The video for Jay Sean’s “2012″ featuring Nicki Minaj hasn’t even officially released yet, but that hasn’t stopped these enterprising kids from covering the song.

Here are our five favorite covers of the song. Take a look at how these fans interpret Sean’s lyrics in their own unique way. You better watch out, Jay Sean! You’ve got some serious competition.

Why We Love It: Fervent soloist accompanied by a decent piano player = winning combination.

Why We Love It: Andy Crayon’s heartfelt, slightly mournful version of “2012″ can’t be beat in the “Enthusiasm” category.

Why We Love It: Sunny Choi’s piano version has no vocals accompanying it, but somehow that doesn’t detract from her mellow version of the song.

Why We Love It: Not only did these kids perform the part where Nicki Minaj raps, but they substituted some of the lyrics to say “Free Lindsay Lohan.” Hilarious.

Why We Love It: An uber-slowed-down, breathy, soulful version of “2012″ done by an emo desi kid? What’s not to love?
